Amanda started babywearing soon after the birth her son, Jacob, who would cry every time he was put down, exhausted Amanda sought help from her local sling library and quickly became an advocate for babywearing and its many benefits. Having supported the sling library for many months Amanda decided to train as a Babywearing Consultant with the School of Babywearing in May 2013 and in February 2014 qualified as a Slingababy Consultant. Most recently she has become the Membership Secretary for BABI.
Before taking over Chester Sling Library, Amanda worked as an independent Babywearing Consultant working with new parents and carers. Amanda continues to educate expectant parents about the benefits of babywearing at monthly antenatal class with the One to One Midwives. She also assists the Countess of Chester and local area in her role as a Bosom Buddie, supporting breastfeeding mums.
